Trygghetspartner offers the official Hot Work course (Heta Arbeten®), certified by the Swedish Fire Protection Association (Brandskyddsföreningen). This training is mandatory for anyone performing temporary hot work in Sweden, such as welding, cutting, grinding, or any other work that generates heat or sparks and is carried out in a location where fire hazards exist.

The course is now available in English, making it easier for non-Swedish speakers to meet the legal and safety requirements.

    Frequently Asked Questions about Hot Work (Heta Arbeten®)

    Anyone who performs or supervises temporary hot work where there is a fire risk must have valid certification. This includes workers, supervisors, permit issuers, and fire watchers.

    The Heta Arbeten® certificate is valid for 5 years. After that, you must take the course again to renew your certification.

    Yes! Trygghetspartner offers the Hot Work (Heta Arbeten®) course in English, making it accessible for non-Swedish speakers.

    The course starts 08.00 and ends by 15.00, including both theory and practical exercises, followed by a test.

    Without a valid certificate, you are not legally allowed to perform temporary hot work at risk-prone sites. You may also risk insurance claims being denied in the event of a fire.
